How I Made $400 From One Instagram Post (that only got 57 likes)

Jenny Champion- How I made $400 from one Instagram post (that only got 57 likes).

KNOW THIS:

1. Selling your own product is the way to go on social (I sell a $100 Cleanse). You’re in complete control of every aspect and have a much better chance of making $$$ than with ads / sponsored posts.
2. You’ll typically need a much larger audience to score a brand deal (I have just over 1,000 IG followers).
3. If you’re just starting out and don’t have people who already know, like and trust you, you can give away your product in exchange for success stories / testimonials for a bit (I did this for a while before ever charging people).

DO THIS:

1. Create a product! Ex: a coaching service, a digital download or a membership. Make sure it’s visually appealing and suuuuper valuable. It also helps if you and / or others are getting stellar results from it.
2. If you're not sure if anyone even wants what you want to offer, I suggest doing a pre-sale first.
3. Setup your shop. Squarespace has super easy e-commerce plans and Shopify is an inexpensive / simple option if you want a stand-alone store.
Tip: Make sure you have your legal shit set up, too.
4. Share your own success story. In general, if you’re selling something, you should already have had success with it so tell your followers how it worked for you.
5. Paste your product or email contact link into your IG bio and direct people to it in your post. If your URL is mega-long, you can shorten it with bit.ly or prettylinks

P.S. I followed the above steps and made $100 from only 100 views on a video once. Proof you don’t need a huge audience, you just need the right audience and a valuable offer.
